In re: Travel Agency Commission Antitrust Litigation, Master File No. 4-95-107 (D. Minn)

Ms. Caldwell was one of plaintiffs' counsel in this antitrust action in federal court in Minnesota. Plaintiffs were various travel agents and agencies located throughout the country, and the American Society of Travel Agents ("ASTA"). Plaintiffs alleged that six major domestic airlines acted together to implement identical and drastic reductions in the rate of base commissions paid to travel agents for booking domestic flights. Ms. Caldwell was primarily responsible for all discovery of one of the defendant airlines, deposing over twenty witness of the airlines during a three week period. Plaintiffs were successful in defeating the airlines' summary judgment motion, and, on the eve of trial, plaintiffs obtained a multi-million dollar settlement.
