Ms. Caldwell is lead counsel in this consumer class action brought pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act on behalf of a class of Texas consumers. The action asserts that Coldata failed to provide the validation notice required by the FDCPA, and that letters sent to plaintiff and the class were deceptive and misleading. A class-wide settlement, negotiated by Ms. Caldwell, has been preliminarily approved by the Court.
